Description

About the flag

As the County of Halland had almost the same borders as the province of Halland, the same arms were granted to the county on 7 February 1941. The flag is a banner of the arms. No change was considered necessary to make when the municipality Hylte was transfered to the County of Halland in 1974, even though the largest part of Hylte is in Småland.
Elias Granqvist, 27 September 2000

Blazon in English
