The former flag of Konya (photo, photo, photo, photo) was red with the municipality's emblem. It seems that Konya Province and Konya Municipality once used the same flag, with a slightly different colour and rendition of the eagle.

Konyaspor Kulübü was formed in 1981 as the merger of Konyaspor (formed in 1965 as the merger of Konya Gençlerbirliği, Meramspor, and Selçukspor ve Çimentospor) and Konya İdmanyurdu. The new club kept the name of Konyaspor but changed its colours, black and white, to Konya İdmanyurdu's colours, green and white.

The official flag of Konyaspor is green with the club's emblem in the middle (photo, photo, photo, photo, photo, photo, photo).
The club's emblem features the emblem of the town of Konya, the Seljuk black double-headed eagle.
