Apparently, the coat of arms of Villa García was adopted on 15 June 1988 and designed by Prof. Ernesto Ugarte Briano. At the top, a crown topped by a cross signifying the Spanish era. The border is shaped like an arch, referencing the local church. In its upper area, it reads "JUSTICIA Y SOBERANIA" [Justice and Sovereignty]. At the bottom, an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, patron saint of the municipality. In the inner section: at the bottom, a map of Zacatecas, the state it is in. Above, a ribbon carrying a cross for faith. It leads to a road recognizing a main entry point to the town, that ends at a cogwheel signifying industry. Behind, an image of the mountains, part of the environment. A crossbow as used by the Spaniards is seen to the right; to the left, a cactus for the environment. These elements are enclosed by two Ionic columns, having above a slab that reads "NUESTROS PRINCIPIOS SEGUIMOS" [Our Principles We Follow]
