The council informed me there are two flags: one in the office of the secretary of the council and the other in the office of the municipal president (in better condition). The secretary also told me that the flags were acquired on 8 October 2024; which appears to be false, as the one in the municipal president's office has been seen used before that date, perhaps it is the date his own flag was acquired? I couldn't find an image of the secretary office flag.

The council informs me the coat of arms as probably designed by friar Nicolás Porfirio Navarrete, who rescued the archives of the ex-convent of Yuriria. Nothing more is known about it.
Description:
I. Vase in the form of pot with branch of water lily, symbol of the Christian woman (as crest; above shield).
II. 1540, date of foundation [at the top of the border]
III. Legend: "OH PRECIOSO LUGAR CON SANTIAGO TU FE VERAS TRIUNFAR" [Oh, precious place, with Santiago your faith you shall see triumph], significant of Maravatío [beautiful place], Santiago patron saint. [found in the border].
IV. Swords, symbolize victory and fight [to the sides].
V. Central part divided into three: green field, pond with silver star, hope; exedra with brazier and flames, charity; simple facade of the mission temple, white background that represents faith [lower-left].
