Here is a flag for the Bloxwich Town, in Metropolitan Borough of Walsall,
West Midlands, 05.05.2017
"A green and black cross on a white background,
the colours symbolising both the industry and green spaces of the town. In the
canton is a lion which refers to the story of a lion that escaped the local
carnival to wander the town and thus further represents the towns carnivals up
to the present day. It can also reflect the Romping Cat public house. Below the
cross on the hoist side is a tree with central branches crossed to symbolise the
story of the local wishing tree, also recalling the legend and folklore of the
town. The two symbols also recall the sporting badges of the town – a tree
appearing on the rugby team logo and a lion’s head on the football team logo."
