Radebeul Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above Argent a grapevine Vert, beneath Gules a wheel Argent.
Meaning:
The area alongside the Elbe River between Radebeul, first mentioned in 1349, and Kötzschenbroda, first mentioned in 1226, had been an area of viticulture for many centuries. Former seals of Radebeul displayed the wheel (German: Radand an axe (German: Beil), both punning elements. The bunch of grapes had been part of the municipal seals of the former municipalities of Serkowitz, Zitzschewig and Kötzschenbroda for more than 200 years. It is of course symbolising viticulture.

Kötzschenbroda Borough

Kötzschenbroda was called a market town since the 18th century and gained the status of a city in 1924. It was incorporated into Radebeul in 1935.
