Description of the flag

Photo from https://presidency.gov.krd/uploads/files/1727172660105.jpeg
The flag started to be used sometime in the year 2023 (or very last months of 2022). It depicts a blue-and-white version of the UNESCO logo, reading underneath "unesco" and "Member of Creative Cities Network". To the right, the Slemani governorate logo is depicted with the text Designated UNESCO Creative City in 2019 underneath.

It should absolutely be noted that this flag (and the previous flag) are used by the governorate in reality, not the Municipality even though it is the one recognized as a creative city.

This flag was adopted sometime in 2020 and remained in use until around the end of 2022. It depicts, on a white field, a merger of the UNESCO logo in black (including its full name in Arial underneath) and Slemani governorate logos (with the text Designated UNESCO Creative City in 2019 underneath). Both logos are divided by black dots.

This logo appears to have been adopted sometime in 2020, considering it was recognized fairly late as such on 31 October 2019. Before that, no governorate logo appears to have existed besides a website logo; as such, it does appear there were no previous flags. The logo reads "SLEMANI 1784 2019" with a bar dividing the title of "UNESCO CITY OF LITERATURE" underneath. Above this text, a circular-format logo is found with an embroidered rug pattern for culture and a white road pattern on top of it. The logo is outlined in white, gray, white, then black. The year 1784 is of the city's foundation by the Ottomans and named after Suleiman Pasha (the father of its founder); 2019 is its 235th anniversary year and when it became a Creative City on 31 October 2019.

The logo depicts a white outer ring outlined entirely in green. There is text to the upper-left that reads "SLEMANI MUNICIPALITY" and text to the upper-right reading the same in Arabic. At the bottom is "3/2/2000", probably indicating the date of municipalization as 3 February 2000. In the center is a bright green field, depicting over it a deer indicating its fauna.
