Elbe-Heide Coat of Arms

Shield Or, a pall reversed Azure, over all a lark volant Argent.
Meaning:
The arms are based on those of the former namesake administrative community but the tinctures had been exchanged. The pall reverse is symbolising the confluence of the rivers Elbe and Ohre. The lark is representing the namegiving heather, the three golden areas were symbolising the former administrative communities of Elbe-Ohre, Südheide and Südliche Altmark/Elbe.

Angern Coat of Arms

Shield quartered, above right Gules, issuant from base wavy Argent a swan rising Argent, above left Argent an oak twig Vert consisting of one leaf and two acorns, beneath right Argent a squirrel statant Gules cracking a nut Vert, beneath left Gules a demi millstone Argent superimposed at sinister by a set square and three grain ears of the same.
Meaning:
The swan is representing Angern proper. Its pure white colour is symbolising light. The squirrel is the mascot on local village festivals in Bertingen. The oak twig is representing Wenddorf and its oak trees. The last quarter is canting for Mahlwinkel, displaying a millstone and ears for grinding (German: mahlen) and the set square as angle (German: Winkel).

Shield quartered, 1st quarter Argent a hunting horn Gules garnished Or hanging from a branch of the same, 2nd quarter Gules a scythe and a flail in saltire both Or, 3rd quarter Gules an attire Argent in pale with base Or in bend; 4th quarter a stag passant Gules armed Or on a mural wall Gules masoned sable and issuant from base.
Meaning:
The quarters are representing the parts of Burgstall. The horn stands for Burgstall proper, scythe and flail for Sandbeiendorf, the attire for Cröchern and stag and wall for Dolle.

Shield Gules, three linden leaves Argent in fan, connected by a brooch of the same, issuant from the central stem two branches, each one having a triplet of fruit ordered 1:2.
Meaning:
The arms are canting for the village Lindhorst (= linden grove), which belongs to Colbitz. The colours are those of the Archbishopric of Magdeburg, to which the region historically belonged.

Loitsche-Heinrichsberg Coat of Arms

Shield parted by two connected barrulets wavy Argent over Azure, above Gules three heraldic roses Or seeded Gules in fess, beneath a tower issuant Gules masoned Sable, on its top a sinister facing rising eagle Sable.
Meaning:
On 13 January 2010 the local council decided to introduce new arms having the symbols of both former municipalities. The eagle on tower is representing former Heinrichsberg municipality, the roses former Loitsche municipality. The roses and their tinctures had been taken from the arms of the Lords of Alvensleben.

Loitsche Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess of Or and Gules, three heraldic roses in counterchanged colours ordered 2:1.
Meaning:
Loitsche used the family arms of the Alvensleben kin unofficially since 1985. They displayed in a golden shield two red bars, charged with three white roses barbed and seeded Or and ordered 2:1. The three roses are since then also representing the municipality's predecessors Lotsch, Hilligendorf and Ramstedt. The tinctures red and yellow had been used as local colours by common law before.

Heinrichsberg Coat of Arms

Shield Argent with base wavy Azure charged with wavelets Argent, issuant from base an embattled tower Gules masoned Sable, on its top a sinister facing rising eagle Sable armed Or.
Meaning:
The arms show the tower of the local castle, the Prussian eagle and the Elbe River. The arms are based on a local seal in use until 1945. Its shield was parted per fess and displayed in the upper half the eagle (dexter facing) and in the lower half a tower on base wavy. The tower is symbolising the medieval tower, which is now completely destroyed. The eagle refers to the fact that the village is named after Prince Heinrich, son of King Friedrich Wilhelm I of Prussia, who bought the area in the 18th century. After 1945 the Prussian eagle was replaced by a fish in the seal. In the 1980s the village adopted arms, displaying only the tower issunt from base. In 1995 the eagle was added again.

Shield parted per pale; at dexter Gules a church issuant Argent with two towers; at sinister parted per fess, above Azure a Paschal Lamb proper; beneath Argent a bucket Sable issuant from above.
Meaning:
The church is taken from the arms of former Hillersleben municipality, the bucket from those of former Born Municipality and the Paschal Lamb from those of former Neuenhofe municipality. The church of Hillersleben had been a Benedictine Monastery in the past. The bucket as part of a draw well in the arms of Born (= fountain, well) is a canting element. The Paschal Lamb usually is an attribute of St. John the Baptist.
