Maasdriel is a municipality in the Bommeler Waard, just north of 's
Hertogenbosch. Its proper name should be Driel, but there is another village
with the same name (in Heteren municipality), so it was given the adjective
of the river it lies on in 1943.
The flag was adopted 8 June 1956, derived from the municipal Coat of Arms

never officially adopted.
The triangle should be RED instead of orange
The church (from the coats of arms) should be YELLOW instead of white.
I'm the one that can know it, because I designed the flag about 20
years ago.

The parrot is from the seal of Gerard van Rossem (1276) and has always
been used by the van Rossum family, the most significant person being Maarten
van Rossum (1478-1555).
