Description

Municipality of Ramat HaSharon (meaning Sharon heights) is situated 5 km NE of Tel Aviv and just next of Herzliyya. Est. 1922, it became a Local Council from 1949 and a municipality on January 20, 2003.
The municipal flag is hoisted in all the main streets and is the green municipal emblem on yellow. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot), YP 633, 13 November 1958, for the then Local Council.

Initiated in 1922 and first settled in 1923 as a colony named Ir Shalom (City of Peace). Renamed in 1932 as Kefar Ramat HaSharon. In time the Kefar was omitted.
Unfortunately, the municipal site say nothing about the emblem, however it is quite easy to identify the main object in the emblem as the local water tower (built 1930, not in use since 1999 - photo here as well of identifying the flower asTzivoni HaSharon (Tulipa agenensis sharonensis)

Since my previous report, Ramat HaSharon was promoted from local council to municipality and the municipal flag change its color from yellow to orange (common color at the Sharon region), there is no more thin rectangle around the emblem and inscription was added.
