Coat of Arms

Shield Argent, two mattocks Sable hilted Gules in saltire, in chief a fleur-de-lis Vert, in base a scallop Gules. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "ANISSÓ".
Meaning:
The fleur-de-lis is an attribute of Our Lady of Hope, the local patron saint. The scallop (Port.: viera) is probably alluding to the municipality of Vieira do Minho.

Coat of Arms

Shield Vert, a lamb passant Argent, surrounded by four eradicated chestnut trees Or, ordered 2:2. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "SOUTELO - VIEIRA DO MINHO".
Meaning:
"Soutelo" means little chestnut grove (derived from souto = chestnut grove). thus the chestnut trees are canting as representation of a grove.
