Description

Local Council Reine is situated 2 km north to Nazareth. Est. 1927, Local Council from 1968 with 12,000 inh. of which 70% Muslims and 30% Christians. I was told by the Local Council that it uses emblem on monochrome field in case of need of a flag. I made it black on white as basic design but it could be also in other colours as well. This information is not confirmed so the image is only probable. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot), 'Publications Gazette' section (Yalkut HaPirsumim), YP 4293, 30 March 1995.

Dov Gutterman, 22 October 2001

First mentioned in the 17th century. Totally destroyed in earthquake in 1927 and rebuilt west of the road from Nazareth to Kafar Kanna (now road 754).
