Auerbach Coat of Arms

Shield Or an impending wyvern Gules holding a sword of the same in pale by his claws, issuant from base a triplemount Vert.
Meaning:
The arms are basically those of the Benedictine Niederalteich Monastery. The triplemount is taken from the legendary arms of its patron saint St. Maurice. The additional wyvern and sword are attributes of St. Margareth and St. Pancras, the local co-patron saints of Auerbach. They are also alluding to forest clearance in the Medieval, caused by the monastery.
