The Municipality

Val-des-Sources, formerly known as Asbestos, is a town in the Estrie region on the Nicolet River. The town is the seat of Les Sources Regional County Municipality, formerly known as the Asbestos Regional County Municipality.

The city changed its name in December 2020.

Current flag

The logo is the old Asbestos logo, repurposed for the new name.

I could only find a picture with a corner of the new flag, but assuming it follows the pattern of the Asbestos flag, it is the city logo on white.

The flag uses black text, although signs can use gray text: https://www.facebook.com/villevaldessources/photos/3198763100344759

A photo from Jim Croft's collection appears in a 2000 issue of Flagscan [fsc]. It is red with the arms and other details.
