The Band

Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah) is a federally recognized tribe in Massachusetts. Today, the Wampanoag Tribe is governed by a Tribal Council, as was traditionally done. Our Tribal Council consists of a chairperson, vice chairperson, secretary, treasurer, and seven council members, all popularly elected. The Chief and Medicine Man are traditional members of the Tribal Council and hold their positions for life. Our Tribal Council is elected by enrolled members of our tribe to represent us in all tribal affairs. Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah)

The Flag

The flag is white with tribal seal on it. Problem is that the seal appears in two versions - whale in right or in left hand of the standing Native in front of the Gay Head.

In my collection of photos I have no photos of a left hand flag.
