Description of the flag

The Municipal Flag is made up of the Gray colors that signify the industrial development of the largest Petroleum Refining Complex on the planet, in the center a white strip with the coat of arms and four blue stars on its sides, two on each side that show us the conformation of the four parishes that give life to the municipality: Carirubana, Punta Cardón, Santa Ana and Norte; These stars are blue because the four parishes face the sea that sustains us and tells us day by day the greatness of a rough coastline that shapes our municipality; In the lower part, a horizontal red strip tells us about the labrador blood that runs through the veins of the Carirubanense who builds history and love in every corner of the municipality.
