The page at www.well.com/user/pk/yachtclubs.html gives a list of links towards the homepages of the Yacht Clubs of the Bay of San Francisco, and most of them show their flag on their respective homepage.

The Aeolian Yacht Club, www.aeolianyc.org, is located in Alameda, California. The club was founded 21 September 1906. Since the Oakland Yacht Club claims to have been the 9th yacht club formed in the Bay Area, after the Aeolian, the AYC must be the 8th club that was formed around the Bay.
At the next meeting, probably two weeks later, a burgee was decided upon. Since the club's history page [curiously using instead the heading "Alameda Yacht Club History"] doesn't mention any changes to the burgee, presumably that burgee of 1906 is the one still in use today.
Judging by the photographs of new members, the burgee is currently approximately a 8:13 triangle, with a red field
and running across it a very dark blue diagonal band, 1/6th of the fly in width, placed diagonally, almost perpendicular to the lower side of the burgee, and so that the band's lower edge starts in the top hoist corner. On the band are three
white stars, oriented in the same direction as the band, with their outer circles 3/4s of the width of the band. I haven't seen the club's charter, however, so don't know what the formal description is, nor what the symbolism is.
