Description of the flag

The flag is a white field with a double-border of black and orange. The second border appears to be bigger then the first border, the only in West Virginia to have this. In the middle is the Seal of South Charleston.

The flag can be seen at the South Charleston Fire Department from Kalkreuth, where photos of the flag can be found: https://www.krsm.net/roofing-panel-systems/government/south-charleston-fire-station-1/

It appears South Charleston might have had another flag. This flag was designed by Karen and John Neff, at the time students at Staunton Elementary School. A contest was held in fall of 1974 to choose a design. Members of the Woman's Club and the Junior Department were tasked with making the physical copy.
