The current flag

I've been told via emails from Nicole Ryerson, the city clerk, and Christine Cross, director of the New London Public Museum, that the official flag of New London was designed by Peter Curran in 1976 for a contest by the New London Junior Women's Club as part of the Community Improvement Project during the US bicentennial celebrations.

It is blue, bordered white, with a white map of Wisconsin bearing local symbols and yellow star pointing to the location of New London. The name is arched above the state and the foundation date below.

An alternative flag shows the official city seal, which was adopted in 1984.
