Description of the flag

On 1 July 2016, José Manuel Erbez posted on FOTW's Facebook page the following comment:
"Not the Scottish Aberdeen, but an American sister city."

In addition to the comment, Mr. Erbez posted a link to an online article from 30 June 2016 about the Aberdeen, Washington city council electing to adopt the new flag.

The flag features on a blue field the left half of a yellow capital letter "A" along the hoist, though not stretching all the way to the bottom of the flag.
