Description of the flag

The flag for the large town of Merrillville, Indiana, consists of a yellow letter 'M' inside a red silhouette of Indiana on a yellow background. "MERRILLVILLE" and "INDIANA" are in red on the top and bottom respectively. The 'M' is jagged because it is meant to resemble the shape of Indiana.

Merrillville is located in Lake County and has 36,444 residents as of the 2020 census.
