Flag used at sesquicentennial celebrations

Back in 2002, the Iowa State Association of Counties website hosted an account of each county's history, signed by its County Recorder, and illustrated with a black and white flag image. It is not clear whether these flag images were provided by the county administration or not.

Archived copies of the pages about Buchanan County are still at web.archive.org/web/*/www.iowacounties.org/County+Info/History+Pages/buchanan.htm and web.archive.org/web/*/www.iowacounties.org/County+Info/Flags/Buchanan.htm. It is a ~3:5 plain light (white?) flag with large lettering and medium sized emblem centered on it. The lettering says "Buchanan County" in bold condensed sans serif capitals (black?). The emblem's diameter is about half of the flag's height and is circular, showing two landscape scenes, the upper one with two houses and trees, the lower one with a horse and two(?) people, both showing sky and clouds. These are separated by an "equatorial" stripe (white?) with the same lettering as above, suitably smaller, the whole encircled by a ring of lettering, with its baseline pointing inside (i.e., the bottom reads inverted) reading the names of the county's cities, set in the same style (from the bottom): "Aurora • Stanley • Rowley • Hazleton • Brandon • Jesup • Independence • Fairbank • Quasqueton • Lamont • Winthrop".

According to the booklet [u9s03b], 3rd and 4th images of the 1st row of page 2, the flag is indeed white with black lettering. The emblem is colored in light blue for sky, green for trees and grass, white for clouds, and light brown for houses, clothes, horses, and people.
