"In an azure field on the or base is or windmill. The emblem adorned by or decorative cartouche and crowned by a gules city crown. The settlement is located on the windy hill convenient for construction of windmills. As old residents tell, in beginning XX centuty here were more than 60 windmills. The Village

"For the first time it was mentioned in Polish documents at 1628. The founder of village was Kalyta which has come here by the boat. In the Middle Ages here there was a military cossack settlement of prosperous "elective" cossacks."
