The flag of İslahiye (photo) is white with the municipality's emblem. The former flag of İslahiye (photos) was white with the municipality's former emblem. "Belediye Başkanlığı" means "Municipality Presidency".

İslahiye is located in a fertile valley in the province of Gaziantep, which has over 350 local dishes and was designated a UNESCO culinary capital of the world in December of 2015. The last stop on the train to Damascus, this earthy, mild pepper has fresh garden notes that will deepen any dish and change the way you feel about flavor. In much the same way that Montalcino is famous for producing Brunello wines in Chianti, İslahiye is known for producing the finest Maraş peppers in the region, a Mediterranean staple.
