Kozan Belediyespor was established in 1955, as Kozanspor, and renamed in 1991, when the club was taken over by the municipal administration.
The club won in 2015 the top amateur league and was promoted to the lowest professional league, where it had already played from 1986 to 2001.
The flag of Kozan Belediyespor (photo) is horizontally divided green-orange with the club's emblem in the middle.
