Overview

Monte San Juan is a municipality in the Cuscatlán department of El Salvador. The town arose from the merger of the villages of San Juan Arriba (English: Upper St. John), San Juan Abajo (English: Lower St. John) and Monte Redondo (English: Round Mount), by Presidential Decree of Santiago González Portillo of August 12, 1873.
