Features of the urban settlement of Maisky are shown in the language of symbols and allegories in its flag:

- blue wavy edges symbolize the unusual geographical location of the city of Maisky, used to create a military post Prishib;
- a brick wall with loopholes, located at the end, symbolizes the military fortification of Prishib, as the fundamental principle of the formation and development of the city. The fortress is a symbol of protection, protection, patronage, impregnability and stability;
- the temple of Archangel St. Michael in the flag of the urban settlement Maisky is symbolized by the figure of the Archangel Michael. Archangel Michael is considered the patron saint of warriors fighting for a just cause.
