Shield Vert, a Tuscan column Argent flanked by two flying sparrows Or respectant, in central chief a wheel Or with spokes and blades Gules. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank)and white scroll, reading "PARDAIS - VILA VIÇOSA" in black upper case letters.
The sparrows (Portuguese: pardais) are canting elements. The bladed wheel as an instrument of torture is an attribute of St. Catherine, the local patron saint.
