Coat of arms

Shield Argent, a throughout embattled wall Gules masoned Sable between a serpent Vert tongued Gules and lancinated by a spear bendy Sable in chief and two haycocks Gules ordered per fess in base. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "SAPARDOS".
The lancinated serpent might be an attribute of Archangel St. Michael, the local patron saint.

Sapardos Commune is one of the 11 communes of the Vila Nova de Cerveira municipality (q.v.); it had 366 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 6.2 km².
