Mural crown Argent with three visible towers(village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "VALADARES - S. PEDRO DO SUL"
Meaning:
This "valley" element is named such in other Portuguese local arms, notably in those of the municipality of Fundão. In the official blazon of
Valadares it is described as a "campaign of two mounds issuant from the base and the flanches, charged in base with three wavy fesses Argent, Azure and Argent". This is so poorly crafted to be confusing, seemingly even also to who penned it, as even the tincture was forgotten.
