Coat of arms

Shield Argent, a grapevine Purpure leafed Vert, between a corn cob Or leafed Vert at dexter and an olive branch Vert fruited Sable, their stems crossed per saltire, in chief a 5-point star Azure, issuant from base a triplemount Sable. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "LAGARES DA BEIRA".

Presentation of Lagares da Beira

Lagares da Beira Commune is one of the 16 communes of Oliveira do Hospital Municipality; it had 1398 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 13.4 km². Lagares had been a town and seat of a municipality from 1514 until 1836. The town status was lost but regained on 30 August 1995, when also the name was changed to the current one.
