Coat of arms

Shield Vert, semy of corn cobs Or, a crozier and a staff topped by an episcopal cross in saltire, both Argent and superimposed by a mitre Argent ornamented Gules. Mural crown Argent with three (village rank) visible towers and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "S. MARTINHO DA GÂNDARA".
Meaning:
The green background colour is referring to the extended fields of corn in the commune, the corn cobs too, but they are also symbolising the main business line. Mitre, staff and crozier are representing the regalia of the bishops (unfortunately not mentioned of what), who celebrate tributes to St. Martin, himself a bishop and patron saint of the commune.
