Mural crown argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "ÁGUA DE PENA".
The central charge is representing a mountain with a torrent or fountain and is probably a canting element. The plants refer to the importance of sugar production in the Machico region in the past. The base wavy is representing the sea.
