The arms are Vert a compass rose Argent garnished and main pointed Gules between two lyres Argent stringed Sable in canton, in base a milk cow passant Argent spotted Sable. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "NORTE PEQUENO".
Meaning:
"Norte pequeno" is Portuguese for "little north" - the arms are thus partly canting (compass rose).

Norte Pequeno Commune is one of the five communes of Calheta (Açores) Municipality (q.v.); it had 300 inhabitants in 2001 and covers 11,59 km².
