Shield Argent an embattled rectangular tower Gules masoned Sable with windows of the same, flanked by two corn cobs Or leafed Vert, on central chief two keys Azure in saltire, tied Gules. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "ALVITE - CABECEIRAS DE BASTO".
Meaning:
The crossed keys are an attribute of St. Peter, the local patron saint.

Alvite was one of the nine communes of Cabeceiras de Basto Municipality affected by the 2013 changes. It had 2048 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 7,97 km².

Shield Argent, issuant from base wavy of Azure and Argent a mount Vert, on centre two corn cobs Or leafed Vert in fess, on central chief three arrows Azure tied Gules in fan. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "PASSOS - CABECEIRAS DE BASTO".
Meaning:
The arrows are an attribute of St. Sebastian, the local patron saint.
