Frossos Commune On the as-yet unknown flag background, there is with a coat of arms centered on it. The arms have on a "Frossos - Braga". Flag and arms possibly approved and published officially, but I could find no evidence of that, not even in the usually well-informed website [ http://www.hiperglobal.com/portugal/index.php?zona=1037 ] Hiperglobal, which shows, as usual, an image seemingly based on Sérgio Horta's (even though his website never covered this commune) and unusually no text at all. At the history page of the successor commune's website, a large CoA image [ http://www.jf-merelimsaopedroefrossos.com/historia.php ] [ http://www.jf-merelimsaopedroefrossos.com/admin_sos2016/files/images/Simbolo%20Heraldico%20de%20Frossos.png ] - apparently original CHAAP artwork. Images for our page [pt-brg-.html], attached: [pt-fssb).gif], CoA detail, and [pt-fssb'.gif], placeholder image with the flag background in transparency. There were, as of 2013, another commune in Portugal named Frossos, so the disambiguating addition of the municipality name to the scroll is justified. Frossos was one of the 44 communes of Braga mun. [pt-brg.html] affected by the 2013 changes, when it was joined to the comm. of São Pedro de Merelim to form the new Commune Union of São Pedro de Merelim and Frossos (officially: _União das Freguesias de Merelim (São Pedro) e Frossos_); the erstwhile commune had 1806 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 1,30 km².
