Shield Argent, a cricket Sable, flanked by two flax branches Vert, blossomed Azure and seeded Or, tied Gules in base. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and short white scroll, in Bénard Guedes style, with inscription in black capitals "GRILO".
Meaning:
The cricket (Portuguese: grilo) is a canting element. The flax branches are symbolising the local production of linen, the most important local business line.

Grilo is one of the eight communes of Baião Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 590 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 5,9 km².
