Gmina Fałków is a rural gmina (commune) in Końskie County, Świętokrzyskie
Voivodship, in south-central Poland. Its seat is the village of Fałków,
which lies approximately 24 kilometres (15 mi) west of Końskie and 46 km
(29 mi) north-west of the regional capital Kielce.
Area: 132.1 sq.km (51.0 sq.mi); Population: 4,803 (2006).
The commune contains part of the protected area called Przedbórz Landscape
Park.
Received original city (Magdeburg) rights in 1340 from King Casimir
the Great. Lost it in 1869 under Russian occupation.
Arms and flag adopted on August 8, 2003 (resolution # IV/23/2003).
"Arms: on the blue background white (silver) milling wheel. At the
base of the shield red brick wall.
Flag: light blue-white-red, shown in the addendum #4 to the Law ("Statut")
of the commune.
