Tyczyn commune flag

Tyczyn - urban-rural commune, Rzeszów County, Podkarpackie Voivodship.
Gmina Tyczyn is an urban-rural gmina (commune) in Rzeszów County, Subcarpathian Voivodeship, in south-eastern Poland. Its seat is the town of Tyczyn, which lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) south of the regional capital Rzeszów.
The commune covers an area of 82.44 square kilometres (31.8 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 16,302 (out of which the population of Tyczyn amounts to 3,299, and the population of the rural part of the gmina is 13,003).

Arms and flag adopted on March 14, 2003 (resolution # IV/25/03).
"Arms: on a blue shield an image of Święta Katarzyna (Saint Catherine of Alexandria - patroness of the local parish and, since 1996, of the entire commune of Tyczyn. She is dressed in a white and red Roman robe and holds a palm frond in her left hand and a sword, pointing downward, in her right hand.
She is crowned and her head is encircled by a golden aureole.

Flag: rectangular piece of cloth in dimensions of 0,75 m by 1,8 m divided into three bands:
vertical, red band at the hoist has dimensions of 0,45 m by 0,75 m.
The rest of the flag is divided horizontally into two bands: upper, white of a height of 35 cm and lower, blue of a height of 40 cm.".
