Jawor - urban commune, Jawor County, Dolnoslaskie Vopivodship - former
German name: Jauer.
According to the decision of the City Council # XIV/85/03 dated
June 25, 2003: "Arms of the Jawor Commune show the shield with the rounded
bottom with the image of St.Martin (Sw.Marcin) on the horse, cutting
with the sword a tunic and the beggar who is sitting, half-naked, clad
in the red tunic, raising his arms upward, underneath the horse.
Colors of the Arms: heraldic shield is blue, St.Martin with the gold
aureole, on the white horse, the tunics of St.Martin and the beggar - red.
Flag of the Jawor Commune is white and blue.
It is permitted to use the flag with the Arms placed centrally on the
white part of the flag.
The Arms and the flag are protected by the law."
