image by Tomislav Šipek, 04 February 2016

Blazon: I grønt en oppvoksende gull høygaffel med tre tinder.
In English: Vert a three-pronged forks issuant or.
Approved by the royal resolution of 30 April 1981 after a drawing by Harald Hallstensen. [c2j87]
The municipal web site mostly copy from [c2j87]:
In the north of Øyeren lake there are several flat islands that have been used to provide hay to farms. On Rælingøya and Fautøya was hay in the ancient time stacked - set in stacks, - and for that purpose very long pitchforks were used. The design should also illustrate the three major rivers which flow in the Øyeren from north: Nitelva, Leira and Glomma.
