[Emirate of Kano (Nigeria)]  image sent by Thanh-Tâm Lê, 24 Jan1999

Flaggenmitteilungen (1983-1984) shows a flag of the Emirate of Kano.  Kano is the largest city in northern Nigeria. The status of this flag is unconfirmed.

Emirate of Katsina

Flaggenmitteilungen (1983-1984) also mentions a flag for Katsina Emirate (possibly for the Emir of Katsina). This flag was white with "KATSINA" or "EMIRAT KATSINA" written in black in the canton.

Unidentified Kaduna Flag

I have seen a brief report about Kaduna State which mentions a flag which is not the state flag.  Usage unconfirmed.
Jaume Ollé, 27 Feb 2000

It is a dark teal ~2:3 flag with three thin horizontal white stripes, placed almost evenly, in approximate specs of (27):(8+2+7+2+8). It could be also described as a Gambian-style triband with dark teal stripes and white fimbriations.
