Symbolism

From the County web site:

The County Flag

The County flag portrays the spiritual, historical, and cultural factors of Muan. The flag means Harvest from fertile ground and autonomy. Its shape comes from the name The square from the first letter and the circle from the last letter

  1. The Dark yellow square represents the yellow soil, the source of life here.
  2. The Circle (in the center of the flag) represents the Community and its color Blue symbolizes the activities of Muan County through the shape of the rising sun.
  3. The Blue wave (in the lower part of the flag) represents "The Western Sea" and The Yeongsan River:. It symbolizes the direction and energy.
  4. The Green leaves represents the clean surroundings of Muan.
