Located in Eiheiji Town Fukui Prefecture and established in 1992. The embroidered ceremonial flag has navy blue background with a silver and gold emblem and horizontally written gold kanji university name in gold fringe. The university flag has white background with a green emblem in the center. There is a variant with a green background with a white emblem. The emblem of the university is a design of the prefectural bird "Thrush" and a branch of the "Bamboo leaved oak," which symbolizes courage and strength. The emblem also expresses the hope that students who study here will grow up to be cosmopolitans who have the courage to fly like Thrush, and the determination to "foster international standards in research and an all-round perspective in education.
