A native of Kutsukidani in Omi Province from the Warring States Period to the early Edo Period, he initially belonged to the Western force in the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600, but switched sides to the Eastern force in response to Kobayakawa Hideaki. The war banner has white background with black four Meyui. The meyui is a combination of four squares pattern.
