The Flag

The flag of the town of Kokonoe is brown (maroon) with mark.
Tomislav Šipek, 06 August 2013

The town emblem was adopted on Feb 1st 1960 but there is no flag law. The maroon flag has a white town emblem in the center and the kanji name in white horizontally at the bottom. The town emblem is a stylized kanji 九 Kokono of Kokonoe. The circle symbolizes a concord of the town and the bold face of the letter 九 does a firm base of the town.
