The town emblem was adopted on Sep 26th 1969 but there is no flag law.
The purple flag has a white town emblem in the center.
The town emblem is a stylized katakana タ Ta of Takamori in a form of the forest. The circle symbolizes the town people’s reconciliation and solidarity and the triangle does the town’s exponential development.
