The city emblem was adopted on Jun 6th 1909 by Notice No 34 and the flag was adopted on Jul 1st 1963 by Notice No 68. The white flag has a blue city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a former Yoshida Domain lord Okochi family’s crest a pirn which symbolizes a combination and a solidarity. The flag proportion is 2:3.
