The burgee is shown as a drawing on the webpage, a white horizontal stripe traversing a red field. Rather than attaching this a photo detail is sent instead: see ‘Gallery / 2003 / Wag Downhill 2003’, fourth photo of third row, clickable.

This page bids us welcome to the Dublin Bay Water Wags, “the oldest one design racing class in the world” (Ireland): http://www.waterwag.org. From the ‘History’ section, left menu: founded in 1887, the club pioneered in adopting yachts of the same design in contrast to existing practice. In this way, “yacht racing [was placed] within the reach of many who could not otherwise have enjoyed the sport”. The ‘Design’ section (left menu) shows designs dating from 1887 and 1900.

From the drawing, I estimated a stripe width of 1/6th of the hoist, and I took a common 2:3 ratio for the whole flag. I'm not sure whether we're seeing the class burgee here or the yacht club burgee. Then again, I don't know whether in the special circumstances, there is such a distinction.

This burgee design is quite similar to that of the North Shore YC, a club of a similar age. (I can't say for certain how similar, as the history page of the club and class concentrates rather heavily on the concept of a one design class, and as a consequence lacks the When, Where and Whom about the start of the club, that I usually rely on.)
