Coat of arms of Oriovac

The coat of arms is "Gules a crane argent holding a walnut or".
The crane refers to the marshy regions along river Sava and the walnut may be a reference to the origin of the place name (orah means "walnut" in Croatian) as well as to the furniture industry by which Oriovac is famous. A crane holding a stone is an heraldic image of vigilance (although in classical heraldic depicting it holds a stone); here it refers to the history of Oriovac, where the sentries towards the Ottoman Empire were held for centuries.
